Words can not express the wonder that is a sleeping baby. As a mother I know I spent many hours staring at my little ones peacefully sleeping in my arms. It seems I would stare for hours and never get tired of looking at their perfect little faces. When your little ones are this small you never see the time slipping away from you so fast. I love capturing sleeping babies because it allows that moment in time to last forever.
I was recently fortunate enough to capture these girly giggles with an adorable 3 year old. I loved playing with the props almost as much as she did during this shoot.
My son is a perfect example of why I need my camera to shoot at 1/1000 of a second, any slower and I may miss the moment. The pure vivacity of boys is both exhilarating and exhausting; and that is why it is so amazing when I can capture their true spirit. A hardy “thumbs up” is a good sign that life is interesting and, for the moment, it does not involve any injury. All too quickly little boys start to mature and they begin to walk the fine line of embarrassment vs cool. I can not begin to understand which is which. I am lucky enough to have captured these two in their natural sate... goofy. They were also gracious enough to give me some “mom wants to hang it on the wall” poses. Thanks Guys!
I will always strive to capture the sheer energy of each little man because everyday he will wake up one day older.
Let them play! When children are having fun they won't be able to hold back their true smile. I am always striving to capture this in each person I photograph.
One way to do this is to capture real play moments. In the photos above my little ones were enjoying some pool time. I wanted to capture the excitement, energy, and pure joy in those moments. All too soon these moments will be memories. Cherish them.
